АО «Институт географии и водной безопасности» Министерства науки и высшего образования Республики Казахстан 14 июня 2024 года в Алматы, провел Круглый стол, посвященный одному из самых вододефицитных бассейнов рек Казахстана, Арало-Сырдариинскому бассейну.
Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation (MWRI) of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Nurzhigitov visited JSC "Institute of Geography and Water Security" (Institute). He held a meeting with the Institute's management and water sector specialists. The purpose of this visit was to get acquainted with the Institute's activity and discuss actual water problems of Kazakhstan.
Representatives of the "Institute of Geography and Water Security" JSC, including the Chairman of the Board, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.R. Medeu; the Head of the Laboratory of Regional Climate Changes, PhD Zh.K. Naurozbayeva; and Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Hydrochemistry and Environmental Toxicology, PhD D.M. Burlibayeva, took part in the "Field Day" and a foresight session organized by the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event, titled "Sustainable Agricultural Development: Effective and Safe Water Resources Management," was held at the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing (Almalybak village, Karasay district, Almaty region) on July 27, 2024.
