In his speech at the event dedicated to the professional holiday "Day of Scientific Workers" the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.K. Aimagambetov emphasized that the scientific achievements of our scientists today are recognized not only in Kazakhstan but also beyond its borders. The Minister also noted that the period of funding of scientific projects has been extended from 3 to 5 years. One thousand grants for post-doctoral fellows will be allocated to support young scientists. Also special contests for support of young scientists have been already started within the frameworks of which more than 2 thousand young scientists got grants to the sum of 17 billion tenge for today. Moreover, each year 500 local specialists will undergo an internship in the leading scientific centers of the world. During the events dedicated to the Day of Science Workers Minister Aimagambetov A.K. was able to communicate with prominent figures of science, in particular, had a dialogue with the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Institute of Geography and Water Safety", Academician of NAS RK Medeu A.R. on the execution of the Order of the President of Kazakhstan Tokayev K.-Zh. from December 11, 2020 № ZT-M-20199,1 on the allocation of the Institute building, which is under consideration in the Ministry of Education.
