Priaral Ecological Center Priaral ecological center (PEC) is organized in 1993 for organization of experimental researches in the area of ecological catastrophe of Aral Sea basin. By involvement of international grants on the basis of the Priaral ecological center the local system of hydroecological monitoring including network of instrumental monitoring of water objects in Syr Darya delta and laboratory of information development were implemented. Hydroecological monitoring data is used by Institute of geography as a data base for the researches in the frames of fundamental programs and applied researches as well as for international projects in the area of Aral problematic.
