High mountain geoecological station «Big Almaty Lake» Station is located Ile Alatau in Ulken Almaty river basin at the side of Big Almaty lake, at the altitude of 2500m in 24km from Almaty city. Station consists of 3 houses, canteen and garage.
Station belongs to department of Department of natural dangers. At the station field researches of snow cover, avalanches and others dangerous exogenous processes are carried out, methods and methodologies for estimation of recreational resources are carried out.
